Virts Miller Foundation Awards 7 Nonprofit Grants
The Virts Miller Foundation has awarded over $50,000 to seven area nonprofits as part of its competitive grant program.
“Our family has been fortunate to have achieved success through our past business endeavors, affording us the opportunity to give back to our community,” founder Sharon Virts said in the announcement. “From expanding exhibit space for the interpretation of Loudoun’s rich and diverse history to extending STEM and occupational training programs to the underserved, the initiatives our Foundation funded this year will impact hundreds of lives in our county and make a difference in the community for generations to come.”
All grants awarded support the foundation’s mission to provide opportunities for the underserved, reinforce cultural significance, assist in the preservation of historical sites, enhance access to healthcare and counseling services, and encourage the development and mentorship of youth and at-risk populations.
