Purcellville Main Street Program received $1,500 to help preserve downtown Purcellville’s historic character while supporting small, family-owned businesses. Several brick-and-mortar businesses have already reported sales increases of 100–300%, and the organization is continuing that momentum with community events like Miracle on 21 Street and plans to launch new infrastructure improvement projects.

“We welcomed over 4,000 people to our historic downtown for ShamrockFest back in March. Our visitors visited our shops and restaurants while they were there. Most of our downtown businesses saw a notable increase in sales during the event. Our mission at PVMS is to bring vitality back to our downtown buildings and businesses and these events bringing people down is just the first step. The events would never be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and the grant we received from the Virts Miller Foundation.” — Amanda Dayton, President
