FCi Shares and Cares program was created by FCi Founder Sharon D. Virts to promote the importance of corporate social responsibility and support an employee-led culture of giving back to the communities where FCi Federal employees live and work. The Shares and Cares program provides a strong foundation for embracing this mission and enables FCi employees to implement programs in their local communities to serve others and show the company’s commitment to the community.
Shares and Cares outreach is wide-ranging and has included sponsoring local charity walks and relays to raise cancer awareness, providing back-to-school supplies to the underprivileged, organizing food drives and serving at facilities that distribute food donations, building homes for those in need and raising funds for animal shelters.
FCi leaders foster an environment of support and collaboration to ensure a successful Shares and Cares Program throughout the year from engaging staff members to generate ideas for Shares and Cares outreach as well as successfully implementing activities.
Employees who work for companies that have a dedicated community outreach program are more likely to stay with the organization. In turn, high levels of employee engagement and retention enable FCi to continue to meet and exceed customers expectations. FCi Federal’s significant growth over the past five years is attributed to the dedication and drive of every member of the FCi team. As the company continues to grow, it is important that it supports employee engagement through programs that model our corporate values and set it apart from the competition.
Since launching the program in 2015, the company has donated more than $35,000 comprising financial contributions, in-kind donations and volunteer hours.
