Loudoun County Museum

Grant Recipient 2019

In 2019, the Virts Miller Foundation provided a large donation that has helped kick-off the campaign for the future of the Loudoun County Museum and will give visitors a 360-degree view of Loudoun County’s history.

“Under the leadership of Sharon, now President and Chair of the Board of Trustees, the Loudoun County Museum has seen a significant transformation, emphasizing the conservation and authentic interpretation of Loudoun’s rich history. Sharon’s tenure has been marked by a major overhaul of the exhibits, including the New Republic Exhibit which provides an immersive experience of the local history from 1812-1820, highlighting the Jim Crow Era and Oatlands Estate. With Sharon and Scott’s substantial contributions and vision, the museum continues to evolve as a dynamic venue that engages the public and broadens understanding of the county’s diverse heritage.”
